We looked at over a dozen photographers before going with Fionán (who came highly recommended by friends of ours who used him last year) and we have absolutely no regrets. He was a pleasure to deal with from our very first meeting a year before the wedding to handing over our wondering wedding book six months after our big day. He was easy going, un-pressured, completely flexible and very charming to all our guests – everyone remarked on his discrete presence and obliging good humour. We’d give Fionán a straight 10/10.

Fionán approaches weddings more like a silent witness than a regular photographer. His eye is not just on the main event but on all of the peripheral activities and he manages to blend them into the fabric of the day.
His photographs reflect far more than the main event as he picks up on the tiniest details which add so much to the story. We still got all of the necessary posed shots, but he carried out this part with such subtlety, speed and unobtrusiveness- I don’t even remember him taking them!
We’ve had years of enjoyment re-living our big day moment by moment and I have to say, the variation on black & white that he does is so wonderful- this was the best decision we ever made as we had loads of colour from everyone else.

Fionán brought a refreshingly creative, informal yet highly professional approach to the entire process. He captured all of the significant moments and faces with unobtrusive ease, enabling Clodagh and I to enjoy every minute of our day. He also offered us invaluable guidance in the subsequent collation and publication of our images. He achieved that fine balance of a light touch and a very thorough approach.
